Program Description:

 The Italian Experience: ITAL 308

A three-week Italian immersion experience in Italy, May 31 - June 11, 2021  (plus May 24-28 in Cleveland)

3 undergraduate credits

Visits to Venice, Rome, Florence, Urbino, and other locations

Please Note: While we are accepting applications for summer study abroad programs, we are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation worldwide. It is still too early to determine whether or not students will be able to travel abroad this summer. Decisions regarding summer programs will be made later in the Spring 2021 semester.  
Urbino (Italian Experience)
Urbino, Italy
Collaborate with Italian students and faculty to advance language skills and expand culture study in total immersion. ITAL 308 is designed to increase proficiency in speaking, comprehension, reading and writing. Participate in structured classes, and interact closely with students from a peer university in Italy. Required participant journal records daily experiences and personal reactions. A final project is presented. Visits to selected sites and events are included. Fully experience language in use by a vast range of native speakers. Communication among participants, faculty, and collaborators will be in Italian, to the best of participants' ability.
