In this summer-long program, students will enroll in two courses: Furniture Design Studio and Workshop (6 credits), and Furniture Design in Scandinavia (3 credits), for a total of nine (9) academic credits.
The program is designed for students majoring in industrial design, interior design, interior architecture, architecture, the arts; or students with other relevant backgrounds.
Highlights: Students will also participate in a 9-day study tour to Denmark, Sweden and Finland, to study prime examples of Scandinavian furniture design, interior design, and architecture.
The program includes a number of field study visits in Copenhagen which introduce the student to prime workshops, factories, and examples of modern Danish furniture design and design in general.
